TEXTURED METAL CASTS
This wall-mounted composition features nine cast aluminum plaques. Marit Meisler draws upon her father Frank Meisler’s signature ornate textures, color palette, and casting techniques to create a textured foundation for her contemporary storytelling. The imagery reflects Marit’s personal life, incorporating portraits, scenes of Jaffa, moments from her travels, and cherished objects.
Black paint and metallic leaf are delicately applied over the textured surfaces, enhancing the depth and contrast while leaving the intricate patterns visible.
