Description
The sculpture portrays a Chassidic musician or “Klezmer” from Eastern Europe, representing the traditional musicians who played at Jewish celebrations. Klezmers had a wide range of responsibilities, which included improvising songs and poems about the newlyweds, their guests, and their gifts; playing the violin; sharing jokes; performing impersonations; and entertaining the entire party. This handmade sculpture is part of a Limited-Edition collection and bears the official certificate of authenticity exclusively from the Frank Meisler Gallery brand. Crafted from metal alloys with 24K gold plated elements, it rests on a rotating marble base.
